Our Story
We are Steve and Lindsay Inzalaco, owners of Shady Grove Farm in Camas, Washington. We began farming in 2018, but we had been dreaming and scheming for quite a while. After Steve attended a farm apprenticeship program at UC Santa Cruz in 2015, the plans to start a farm began forming.
In 2018, we started the farm on 1 acre of certified organic leased land in Camas. After two years, we began preparing to move the farm to a different property. In 2021, we began farming on 3 acres of leased land that we had newly certified organic. We are currently growing over 120 varieties of vegetables on just 2 acres using no-till practices. We love providing delicious, nutritious vegetables to Camas and the surrounding area!
Our produce is sold through our CSA program, at the Camas Farmer's Market, to local restaurants, and grocery stores. We value being deeply connected to the people in our community through the food we grow, and love that 95% of our produce is purchased and eaten within 5 miles of the farm.
In order to minimize food waste, excess produce is donated to local organizations such as the Clark County Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Camas Family-Community Resource Center.
